Sitting here with the ancient ones
Breathing the same air
Feeling the same wind

You taste like summer dew
I can’t have enough of you.
You smell of salty nights spent all alone

I want to lose myself in the utter vastness
I want to free dive and be caught by a net of glimmering stars, infinite leaves and flowers sawn and held together

Let me feel you like the petals of a rose feel the juicy raindrops
Splashing down during a summer rain

I see you lurking in the shadows
Watching me up close
I hear you calling me by names

Do you feel it embracing you with its long, warm invisible arms?
Touching every inch of your damp skin and wet hair

I’m in that space where there there is nothing but me
I’m in that space where it’s quiet and loud at the same time

Sweat pouring down harder than a mid-July rainstorm
The wind whispers something in my ear
Reminding me to breath

Sometimes, I look at a tree when its green crown is gone
And I wonder if it feels empty.
That hollow phase when you’re in between worlds and seasons.

I hear the bees collecting pollen in a frenzy
From the freshly bloomed acacia trees that smell heavenly.
The wind is carrying the white flower scent, and they begin the most romantic dance.
